FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is an international standard being developed by the FHIR community and supported by HL7, an international standards organization.
The standard refers to health and administrative data pertaining to patients, delivery of care, and health organizations, throughout the patient journey and across the continuum of care.
FHIR is more than a data model; it is part of a paradigm shift in health care.
It is a revolution championing patient-centric, proactive, personalized, data-driven care.
The FHIR IL community was established by 8400 – The Health Network, Ministry of Health, Israel Innovation Authority, Digital Israel, Joint ELKA, and Yad Hanadiv.
The FHIR® standard of HL7® was creates to enable transparent, smooth, safe data exchange between systems, health organizations, and patients, and to industry and academia, in Israel and globally.
Using a common standard promotes the implementation of new technologies and increases accessibility – therefore enhancing quality of service and care in the health system.
The FHIR standard is already backed by leading health organizations globally, US regulators, and largest tech corporations.
FHIR® is more than a data model; it is part of a paradigm shift in healthcare.

תקן FHIR® (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) הוא מודל נתונים בינלאומי המפותח על ידי חברי קהילת FHIR ואשר נתמך על ידי ארגון התקנים HL7. המודל מתייחס למידע הבריאותי והאדמיניסטרטיבי העוסק במטופל, בטיפול ובארגון הבריאות, מתוך ראיה רחבה של מסע המטופל.
סטנדרט ®FHIR של ®HL7 הוא יותר ממודל נתונים, הוא חלק משינוי תפיסתי במתן שירותי בריאות. מדובר במהפכה המקדמת תפיסת טיפול שבה המטופל במרכז, והטיפול הוא פרואקטיבי, מותאם אישית ומבוסס דאטה.
קהילת FHIR IL נוסדה על ידי ארגון 8400, משרד הבריאות, רשות החדשנות, ישראל דיגיטלית ג'וינט אלכא ויד הנדיב.
FHIR נבנה על מנת לאפשר שיתוף נתונים בצורה שקופה, חלקה ובטוחה ככל האפשר, בתוך מערכות המידע השונות בארגון הבריאות, בין ארגוני הבריאות והמטופלים, ובין הארגונים לתעשייה ולאקדמיה, בארץ ובעולם.
שימוש במודל נתונים מוסכם כמו FHIR מפחית את התלות בספקי שירות שונים, מאפשר שיתופי פעולה פשוטים ומהירים, ומציג אפשרויות הנגשה חדשות של מידע למטופל - חידושים שישפרו את איכות השירות והטיפול במערכת הבריאות.
FHIR נתמך כבר כיום בצורה רחבה על-ידי ארגוני בריאות מהחשובים בעולם, הרגולציה האמריקאית, וכן על-ידי חברות הטכנולוגיה הגדולות.
