Gustav Vella is founder of Healex Systems – a 100% FHIR dedicated company focused on bridging the gap between healthcare and clinical research.

He is a product owner and integration consultant with vast domain knowledge in health tech, prospective clinical trials, registries and meta analyses.

With 15+ years hands on experience with site management, clinical data management, Gustav also has 10 years of experience with source data integration, intersectoral care and qualified software development (GAMP, GMP)

Gustav is an active participant in the HL7 Biomedical Research and Regulation workgroup, a not-for -profit Workgroup which promotes interoperability between healthcare and clinical research and has recently co-led a FHIR connecathon track  within that group
